Microdasys Inc is a fast growth company founded in 2002, with headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada and an international office in Munich, Germany.  The company develops software which enables content security devices to inspect and manage XML and SSL web traffic and enforce all security policies.

SSL encryption protects data from being compromised while travelling over the internet.  Web Services (XML) provide a new way for applications to interact with the Web.  However, SSL encryption and Web Services often freely traverse an organisation`s perimeter security infrastructure without being subject to existing security policies.

While XML is specifically designed to tunnel through port 80, SSL defies control because all data is encrypted.  Firewalls, Antivirus Gateways, Content Scanners and Intrusion Detection Systems cannot inspect the data and apply the security policies that are applicable to regular web traffic.

Microdasys' SCIP product enables encrypted content to be scanned and Microdasys' XmlRAY product addresses XML content.
