C-Series Crossbeam security appliances provide a proven, enterprise class hardware platform for best-of-breed security applications. Selecting a Crossbeam hardware platform eliminates the compatibility and support concerns associated with generic server hardware. Crossbeam appliances run a hardened operating system which simplifies application maintenance and network configuration without the unnecessary overheads and security risks of a general purpose OS. The C-Series security switches are suitable for small to medium-sized businesses, enterprises and extended security deployments, as well as managed security service providers. C-Series appliances support firewall, VPN, IDS, anti-virus, URL filtering and content scanning as standalone features or combined for unified threat mitigation and at unrivaled performance levels. Options are available are the C2, C6, C12 and C25. The C2 redefines performance and flexibility in the low end. With 380 Mbps (large packet) and 377,000 packets per second small-packet performance and autosensing 10/100/1000 ports, the solution enables the upgrade of remote-office networks to support gigabit cabling and switches without sacrificing the security infrastructure. The C6 provides the next jump in performance for larger branch offices, distributed retail operations and mid-sized enterprises. With over 2 Gbps of firewall performance and 8 interfaces, administrator can create both an effective perimeter defense and LAN quarantine zones. The C12 is designed to secure large branch offices or medium sized enterrise networks. Here, the interface options include fiber-optic gigabit connectivity as well as performance up to 4 Gbps. The C12 supports the Crossbeam Virtual Tap functionality that lets security administrators de-multiplex traffic flows from all interfaces into a single intrusion detection sensor subsystem. The C25 is designed for small data centers and is used by customers worldwide in call center and other VoIP-centric environments where connection rates and small packet performance are critical. The C25 is the most expandable of the devices and includes options for dual hard drives, dual power supplies and dual Xeon processor subsystems delivering 6 Gbps of performance. Innovative features such as USB-based flash memory support for configuration upgrades, deployment, backup, and quick recovery significantly improves device management. |
